Husker women come up short at K-State

Cory Montgomery scored a game high 21 points, 13 in the first half to give the Husker women a two point halftime lead, but 14th ranked K-State came back to win 51-40.
The junior forward Montgomery was 10 of 20 with six rebounds giving Cory her fifth 20 point game of the season.
Montgomery was the only Husker in double figures, as the Wildcats held NU to a season low 40 points. Kansas State, which is leading the nation in scoring defense, held the Huskers to 35% (18-52) shooting from the field, including just 1 of 10 three’s. The Huskers committed 19 turnovers.
The Huskers complete their five-game Big 12 North Division road swing on Saturday, when they travel to Boulder to take on Colorado.
With the loss, Nebraska is now 10-9 overall and 1-5 in the Big 12.
