It was the Huskers final tune up before Big 12 action this Saturday against Missouri and NU was clicking on all phases of their game in their 81-56 win over Florida A & M.
Inside and outside, NU was on the money. The Huskers shot 57% from teh floor and 48% from three point range. NU also outrebounded A & M 37-23.
The Huskers hit 10 three pointers, and inside outscored the Rattlers 34-8. Sek Henry led NU with 19 points, Steve Harley had 15, and Paul Velander added 12.
On the defensive side, Florida A&M became the ninth opponent held to fewer than 60 points this season. The Rattlers scored just 56 and hit 12 threes.
NU was solid from long distance as well hitting seven three in the first half as they held a 39-23 lead at intermission. A&M could never get closer than 16 in the second half.
The Huskers open the Big 12 portion of the schedule this Saturday against Missouri, the team they beat in the opening round of the Big 12 tournament game last year.
