Without Bober, Huskers suffer inside, lose at LSU

With the loss of 6’4 center Nikki Bober, the Huskers inside play suffered as the LSU Tigers beat the NU women 64-50.  Bober tore her ACL in her right knee in practice and Tuesday, will have surgery and miss the season.
Yvonne Turner, the Bellevue East guard nailed four three pointers and finished with 15 points which helped give NU a lead in the second half after being down by as many as nine.  However, a 16-1 by LSU put the game away.
Catheryn Redmon played well in place of Bober scoring seven points, but got into foul trouble.  Cory Montgomery had eight points and Kaitlyn Burke added seven.
The Huskers are now 9-4 and open Big 12 play on the 10th when they host #5 Oklahoma.
