A Lincoln man who was babysitting a child has been arrested for Felony Child Abuse after leaving the three year old girl alone in an apartment. A neighbor found the child in an apartment after forcing entry because smoke was coming from the apartment. Police and Fire crews were called to the scene just before one Monday morning and found the cause of the smoke to be food burning on the stove. Lincoln Police Captain Joseph Ryan tells us, while police were on the scene the suspect returned. 26 year old Van Gamble was arrested for Felony Child Abuse.
