Coach O’Boyle was a standout offensive lineman at Western Illinois University at Macomb before earning his master’s degree from CSC. After serving as an assistant coach at CSC for 14 years and offensive coordinator for the last six, he was a popular choice to become the Eagles’ head coach in 2004. In addition to being head coach at CSC, Coach O’Boyle is an excellent artist, painting the Chadron State football field before each home game and the logos on local little league baseball fields.
The Eagles made it to the playoffs this past season beating Wayne State before losing to Minnesota-Duluth who is playing for the D-II championship tomorrow against Northwest Missouri State.
