Nebraska U.S. Senator Chuck Hagel intends to travel through Nebraska next week saying thanks for his 12 years in the U.S. Senate. Senator Hagel held his last conference call Thursday morning with Nebraska reporters.
“So to the press in Nebraska, Thank you! Thank you for always giving me your attention and availabilities.”
Hagel has held over 400 of such conference calls during his 12 years in office. Senator Hagel says serving Nebraska in the U.S. Senate has been the greatest privilege of his life. Hagel opted against running for a third term. He will be replaced in Washington by former Nebraska Republican Governor Mike Johanns.
