Creighton hit 13-of-25 three-pointers to help hand Dayton its first loss of the year, 77-59 for the Blue Jays 11th straight win at home before 15,418 fans at Qwest Center Omaha on Wednesday night.
Creighton (6-2) became the first team this season to shoot better than 40 percent from the field against Dayton (8-1).
Booker Woodfox led CU with 21 points on 7-of-12 shooting, including 5 of 8 from three-point range. Woodfox has been red hot hitting 15 of 22 three-pointers in the last three games. Kaleb Korver had a career-high with 12 points, making 4 of 5 three’s. P’Allen Stinnett scored 13 points while Cavel Witter added 14 points off the bench.
Creighton shot 44.2 percent for the game, and were 13 of 25 (52 percent) behind the arc. CU also outrebounded the Flyers 42-31, including 16 second-chance points on 14 offensive boards.
