The Creighton women jumped to a 13-2 lead, but 25th ranked K-State battled back to beat the Lady Jays 64-55. Chevelle Herring led all players with 23 points.
The Bluejays are now 2-5 on the year. After their quick start, CU hit just 5 of their next 20 shots. The undefeated Wildcats got back in the game hitting 4 of 9 from the three point line in the first half to go up by four at the break.
Herring had another great night for CU. In four games against Big 12 opponents this year, Herring is averaging 20.5 points.
Herring finished 8-of-21 from the field, 2-of-5 from long range and 5-of-7 from the line for her game-high 23 points.
The Bluejays return home for a three-game home stand beginning with Kansas on Saturday. The Jays and Jayhawks tip off at the Omaha Civic Auditorium at 3:05 p.m.
