Aurora and Pierce round out state champions

Aurora beat Beatrice 20-14 to win the Class B high school football final.  Tyler McDonald rushed for a game-high 134 yards and two touchdowns and passed for 110 yards without an interception.  Jerry Lobeda, a 160-pound running back, ran for 103 yards and a touchdown and led the Huskies with 11 tackles.
Pierce beat Boys Town 20-10 for the C-1 state championship.  Pierce’s overall playoff record to 36-19 in 22 appearances and completed back-to-back championships.
