Bellevue's 43 game home winning streak is over

Bellevue University lost at home for the first time in three years, to No. 13 Northwestern College at the Gordon Lozier Athletic Center. In a rematch of last year’s NAIA national tournament semi-finals, Bellevue lost, 92-88.
Bellevue’s Ron King had a chance to tie the game with less than a thirty seconds remaining, but his jumper bounced off the front of the rim and Northwestern came up with the loose ball sealing the victory.
TheĀ Bruins were down as many as 14 with 14 minutes remaining in regulation but were able to mount a come-back out-scoring Northwestern 37-23 to close out the half tying the game at 88 with 46 second left on the clock. Bellevue’s final shot fell short giving the Bruins their first loss at home since dropping the 2004-05 MCAC tournament championship to College of the Ozarks, 69-71.

Ron King added 12 points as Matt Imig led the team with 3 assists adding 9 points getting 3 steals from Prochaska.
