University of Nebraska-Omaha head football coach Pat Behrns considers his team fortunate that they are in the Division II football playoffs with three losses. The Mavericks get set for a tough road trip to Pittsburg State.
The Mavs finished 7-3 overall, 6-3 in their first year in the MIAA conference. With regions aligned different this year and a tougher conference, Behrns feels that helped in getting his team in as the 6th seeded team.
The Mavs will face Pitt State who handed the Mavs their third and final loss on October 18th, a 35-28 final after the Gorillas jumped out to a 21-0 lead.
Behrns talks about their first season in the MIAA, and what he’s doing to get his team ready for a tough road test in the first round of the playoffs.
