You could see a little more of running back Quentin Castille in the next few weeks after last week’s performance at Iowa State. In that 35-7 win, Castille has 11 carries for 70.
Prior to last week’s game the MO for Castille has been short yardage and goalline situations, but Pelini used him in a number of different sets and scenarios and liked what he saw.
As far as Castille is concerned, he likes the thought of playing outside the tackles. With all three backs, Castille, Roy Helu and Marlon Lucky, they’ve all had their bright moments to shine and Castille says the coaches like running backs coach Tim Beck and the backs themselves don’t consider it much of a competition for playing time. He says they’re there to help each other out.
