Off the top of your head if you were asked, named the top quarterbacks in the Big 12, Colt McCoy, Sam Bradford, Chase Daniel, Graham Harrell, all come to mind, but Joe Ganz is really holding his own against those players.
Ganz is fifth in the Big 12 ahead of McCoy in passing yards per game with 281. He’s sixth in pass efficiency with a 156.2 rating and he’s sixth in total offense at 297 yards per game. What’s more impressive, is that Ganz does not have one receiver who is in the top 10 in receptions or receiving yards per game so Ganz is one of those guys who distributes the ball well to many different receivers it’s a great balanced attack. Ganz really doesn’t mind being overlooked.
The Huskers sit at 1-2 in the Big 12 north with four other teams. KU in first at 2-1. KU has Texas Tech, Texas and Missouri. We’ve got Baylor, K-State, and Colorado all winnable games. OU after this week and a big matchup with Kansas on November 8th. That game is the make or game for the Huskers. Ganz still likes their chances in the Big 12
