Husker quarterback Joe Ganz is hoping to eliminate the big turnover this week against Texas Tech. It’s come back to bite him the last two games.
Two weeks ago he got picked off in the first quarter against Virginia Tech and they brought it back to the five and scored. Last week, he got picked off by Brock Christopher of Missouri and that was taken for a touchdown which opened up a 31-7 lead for the Tigers in the second quarter. Offensive line coach Barney Cotton says hit all starts up front. Ganz so far, 93 of 142 for just about 1,300 yards with nine touchdowns and five picks.
Senior linebacker Cody Glenn who got banged up in that Missouri game was back on the practice field yesterday still hobbling around quite a bit. It was his first time on the field since the game. That’s a big concern for Head coach Bo Pelini because when you think of Texas Tech you think pass, pass, pass, but they do have a running game and that’s where having a healthy Glenn could help.
Pelini says that Tech’s offensive line is one of the biggest the Huskers will see all year. Back to Barney’s line, they took a step backwards last week against Missouri so for coach Cotton it was back to spring drills for his line
