Authorities say a woman who was found dead in her home in Grant over the weekend may have been murdered.
According to Perkins County Sheriff Jim Brueggeman, the death of 28-year-old Corrie Wood of Grant is being investigated as a homicide. Brueggeman says preliminary autopsy results show that Wood suffered blows to her head and body.
She would have turned 29 yesterday, but was found dead by her boyfriend Saturday morning, the day after celebrating her birthday.
Brueggeman has asked the Nebraska State Patrol to help in the investigation. Final autopsy results are still pending.
