Nebraska is hosting more than 100 guests from around the world starting Thursday for its first-ever reverse trade mission. Governor Dave Heineman and other state officials will highlight Nebraska industries including agriculture, renewable energy, distribution and logistics, research and information technology.
The guests are coming from Brazil, Canada, China, Costa Rica, Hong Kong, Japan and South Korea.
A Cargill ethanol plant, Union Pacific, the University of Nebraska Medical Center and the Kawasaki plant in Lincoln are among the expected stops. The tour will conclude Saturday.
