Pierre Allen to start at DE

Priority number one for head coach Bo Pelini is to shore up the defensive line after the Huskers lost defensive end Barry Turner for the season with a leg injury.  It appears that Pelini has his replacement set.
Pierre Allen  is a 6’5 265 pound sophomore, but he’s got experienced, he rotated with Turner and Zach Potter last year on the end and played in 11 games and he’s done well in camp leading up to the season Pelini’s new defensive scheme.  As Pelini mentioned, also getting some work is Elkhorn native Clayton Sievers, the senior has bounced around at NU starting out on offense then moving to linebacker before settling in on the D-line.
