The Husker made their final on the field preparations for the San Jose State Spartans who come into Lincoln tomorrow 1-0, managing a 13-10 win over UC-Davis.
In the game, Spartan coach Dick Tomey used three quarterbacks, but it was his last quarterback who provided the spark they needed. Kyle Reed entered the game on the second series of the third quarter and engineered the comeback from a 10-0 halftime deficit with a pair of scoring drives to win 13-10 over U-C Davis including a last second pass. He finished 14-of-18 passing for 132 yards and two touchdowns, while also compiling a team-high 28 rushing yards on seven carries.
Pelini has nothing but good things to say about Reed.
