John McCain won the nomination last night at the Republican National Convention in St. Paul and Nebraska’s delegation was there to help. During the roll call of states, several delegations, including Nebraska, passed in order for Arizona to put McCain over the top in delegates. After that, Nebraska was the first state up in the resumption of the roll call. State GOP Chairman Mark Quandahl highlighted the state by mentioning Governor Heineman’s name and the fact the state was first to elect a Republican governor in Kay Orr. He also touted the Cornhuskers.
