Former Ag Secretary and Republican Senate Candidate Mike Johanns is supporting his former LT Governor when it comes to a position in the Mccain campaign. The Roll Call newspaper identifies Dave Heineman as a possible choice for Ag secretary in a Mccain White House.
“I knew that would happen, he was such an effective LT. Governor. What I’m especially proud of is that Nebraskans have made their mark, so they couldn’t consider a better guy”.
However, Johanns says Heineman is happy with his current post as Governor. Johanns made his comments as he accepted an endorsement himself from The Nebraska Farm Bureau.
