Huskers begin preparations for WMU

The Nebraska football team put the finishing touches on preseason camp with a relatively quick hour-and-a-half workout Saturday at Memorial Stadium in shorts and shoulder pads.
Head coach Bo Pelini likened it to a Monday practice in a game week, similar to what the team will do today.  The Huskers took yesterday off, but now work on narrowing their focus for the Western Michigan game, which is Saturday at 6:30 at Memorial Stadium.
This first game of the season is probably the most unpredictable, but head coach Bo Pelini said he feels that the team has prepared well for its contest of the season.
One of the things that Pelini and his staff had to do, was get in and teach a new philosophy and in some instances re-teach techniques, so it’s been a really physical camp.  The good news is the team stayed relatively injury-free.
