Prosecutors seek death penalty in Baily murders

Brandon Crago has officially been charged with the murders of Steven and Carolyn Baily in Lancaster County on August 10th.  Lancaster County Prosecutors are also asking for the death penalty for Crago.  He is also facing eight other charges, primarily from a series of thefts.  Authorities say that Crago told another man from Lincoln he was robbing that he had killed two people.  At that time he was carrying a sawed-off shotgun and was wearing a blond wig.

Right now, there is not method of execution since the Nebraska Supreme Court ruled that electrocution was cruel and unusual punishment.  Lancaster County Chief Deputy Attorney Joe Kelly says they will go for the death sentence anyway and they are confident that there will be a method of execution soon.
