Vehicular homicide case heads to court

A motor vehicle homicide case will be heard by a jury in Kimball County. At Tuesday’s arraignment, 20 year old Kyle Anderson pleaded not guilty to a pair of felonies: motor vehicle homicide and tampering with evidence.
A jury trial has been set for December 3.
Anderson is accused of driving a vehicle that crashed late at night in May on County Road 49 north of Kimball. Twenty-two-year-old Josh Cooley was a passenger in the car died at a Denver hospital as a result of the crash, leaving behind a fiancé and son. Another passenger and Anderson escaped with minor injuries.
According to an arrest warrant, alcohol may be a factor in the crash.
