An Omaha man has waived his right to a preliminary hearing and will stand trial on a charge of first degree murder. On June 30th, police received a call that a man was on top of a building in Omaha and was planning to jump. 29 year old Johnny Rix had his four year old son with him at the time. He did jump but let the boy go. Police then went to his home where they found his wife, 34 year old Sonia Rix, dead. She had been strangled and her throat cut. Inside the home were twin infants. They were not hurt. Rix also faces a weapons charge.
