Lopes-Schliep takes bronze in photo finish

Dawn Harper of the U.S has won the final of the Women’s 100m Hurdles at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games while former NU track star Priscilla Lopes-Schliep takes bronze for Canada.
Her personal best time of 12.54 seconds put her just ahead of Australia’s national record holder, Sally McLellan, who ran in 12.64s to claim silver. Lopes-Schliep also ran 12.64s, but walks away with bronze after a photo finish.
Pre-race favorite Lolo Jones of the United States ran in 12.72s, taking seventh place.  Experienced campaigners Delloreen Ennis-London and Bridgitte Foster-Hylton, both of Jamaica, finished in fifth and sixth respectively.
