O-Royals drop another to Albuquerque

Dallas MacPherson, once a top prospect in the Angels organization is waiting in baseball purgatory in the Marlins’ organization, but his minor league leading 40th home run helped the Isotopes beat Omaha 5-2
MacPherson’s home run tied the game at 2-2.  MacPherson has played well all year, leading the minors in home runs while hitting .285 and waiting for an opportunity with the parent club Florida Marlins who have a log jam of infielders on their team fighting for a Wild Card spot.
The O-Royals scored a single run in the second and took a 2-0 lead in the third on Brayan Pena’s solo home run.  After MacPherson homered following Tagg Bozied’s solo shot off starter Matt Wright who fell to 3-9 on the year after giving up four runs on three home runs in six innings of work.  The loss was Omaha’s fourth straight.
