While the Huskers can only practice in shoulder pads due to NCAA guidelines, head coach Bo Pelini is still happy with the team’s effort and intensity.
One factor that I think has helped is the last couple of days the weather has cooperated with low humidity. That helps keep the energy level up and limits the amount of cramping injuries and dehydration that could become a problem.
The first week is always difficult as the players get their legs under them, but the Huskers have one more practice on Friday at 3:45 pm before their first of six two-a-days on Saturday. Sunday will be their first day off.
