Mother faces abuse charges after death of disabled daughter

A 40 year old Omaha woman will face charges of abuse of a vulnerable adult.  Earlier this year police say that Cherie Harbour left her 23 year old disabled daughter at home alone.  Police reports also show that the girl, who was in a wheelchair, was held captive inside her bedroom as the door was tied shut with a bed sheet.  Tawnisha Harbour died after suffering from severe burns after the home started on fire.  No one was at home to help her get out.  Harbour was in court today and waived her right to a preliminary hearing.  Her trial date is pending.
