The Omaha Royals took a 4-2 lead in the bottom of the second inning, but the bullpen was unable to hold it as the Sky Sox win 6-4 taking three out of four in this series. Omaha now heads to Nashville with a three game losing streak.
Ryan Shealy hit his 17th home run of the year after Kila Kiaahue singled to start the second. After Shealy’s homer, Sky Sox starter Josh Hall then walked the bases loaded, but got a double play ball which scored a run, but then gave up a two out double. It could have been much worse.
After that second inning Hall would pitch through the sixth and not allow another hit. Meanwhile after Colorado Springs tied the game in the sixth, they took the lead in the seventh. Jeff Fulchino gave up a single, walk and double to break the tie. The Sky Sox would add one more run in the eighth. Jimmy Gobble made the start and pitched 2.2 innings giving up two runs.
