A confrontation earlier this month between the father of a little league baseball player and an umpire who was injured has ended up in court. 59-year old Charles Anderson says he suffered back and neck injuries after being knocked to the ground following a game July 12th. James Martin Davis is representing Anderson and says at 59, a person doesn’t bounce back like an 18 or 19 year old. Davis says Anderson suffered a powerful jolt. He was thrown in the air and then hit the ground. Davis says that his client is seeking an unspecified amount of money in damages that includes medical bills, pain and suffering and loss and damage to his reputation.
The man accused in the attack, Jeffrey Johnson, has been ticketed for third degree assault.
