The Lincoln Saltdogs beat St. Paul 6-3 at Haymarket Park. The win snapped a two-game losing streak for Lincoln, moving the Saltdogs back into first place in the North Division of the American Association.
Lincoln scored a first-inning run on Jonny Kaplan’s double and Dustin Yount had an RBI single. The Saints answered in the third inning, when former Saltdog Ryan Priddy hit a solo home run to tie the game at one.
The Saltdogs, though, exploded for five runs in the fifth. With one out and one on, Matt hit a two-run homer to give Lincoln the lead. Kaplan and Yount followed with a pair of hits, setting up Shawn McGill who smashed a three run shot.
