The so-called safe haven law is just one law going into effect. It would allow parents to drop off their babies at hospitals without being criminally charged. Statewide assessments tests will also be administered, instead of individual districts coming up with their own tests. Fines are also going up for people that carry around marijuana. The fine for having an ounce or less is going up from 100 to 300 dollars. Children will also be able to hunt for up to a year to try it out before they get their actual license. And towns with at least one thousand people will have to have flouride in their water – voters in the community can override the decision at the polls.
