Omaha will be hosting a UFC Fight Night on September 17th at the Civic Auditorium. This will be Nebraska’s first ultimate fight championship.
There are five bouts on the card, including Nebraska native Houston “the Assassin” Alexander taking on Eric “the Red” Schafer. The official headliner will be “The Ultimate Fighter 5” champion Nate Diaz (8-2) fighting Josh “The Dentist” Neer (23-6-1).
Also on the card, Mac Danzig (19-4), fights Clay “The Carpenter” Guida (23-9). Joe Lauzon (15-3) will take on Kyle Bradley (13-5-1), and Ed Herman (15-5), will fight Alan Belcher (11-4).
