Emergency food stamp distribution centers closing Monday

The U-S Department of Agriculture announces that five sites that were assisting Nebraskans with food stamps after the long series of severe weather in May and June will close today.  Those sites are in Lexington, Kearney, Schuyler, Ceresco and in Millard.  There are three sites that remain open in Omaha.  They will remain open until next Monday, July 21st.  That is to benefit those who were affected by the June 27th wind storm.  The total amount of food stamps that have been handed out so far in disaster assistance is more than $183,000.
