Drowing victim at Big Mac was from Missouri

The person who drowned at Lake McConaughy this week has been identified.

According to Keith County Attorney Blake Edwards, 30-year-old Julian Pigg from Maryland Heights, Missouri, lost his life in Nebraska’s biggest lake Monday afternoon.

Pigg was found almost 200-feet off-shore near the Martin Bay Boat Ramp on the northeast side of the lake. Pigg’s body has been sent to Scottsbluff for an autopsy.

Blake says he has no reason to believe there was anything suspicious about the drowning, but without knowing the victim’s background, an autopsy will be conducted just in case.
