Olympic swim trials in Omaha a success

Omaha continues to get rave reviews after hosting the USA Olympic Swim Trials at the Qwest Center.  John Urbanchek (ur-BAN-check) is the coach for Olympic Swimmer Larsen Jensen and believes that Omaha should host the event again in four years.  He says the entire delegation was very impressed with what Omaha did for swimming.  Executive Director of USA Swimming Chuck Weligus says they appreciate the support they received during this years trials.  He says the facility was excellent, the hotels and restaurants available were accessible to the venue and that Omaha was the “right sort” of community to support such an event.  Weligus also stated that they are looking forward to discussions with Omaha as they plan the 2012 trials.  Negotiations should start in the next 60 days.
