Saltdogs continue to beat up on St. Paul

The Saltdogs who were eliminated in last year’s playoffs by St. Paul continue to dominate the Saints this season winning their fifth game in seven tries after a 4-1 win on Friday.
Lincoln starter Jarrett Gardner (4-3) beat the Saints for the second time this year allowing just one run on four hits in his seven innings.  Gardner also struck out four while walking two. 
Mario Delgado broke a 1-1 tie with a solo home run in the 4th.  Lincoln pulled away with a two out single from Shawn McGill in the sixth and another two out single from Corey Harrington in the 8th.
The Saltdogs and Saints play game two of their three-game series Saturday night at 7:05.  Ryan Trytten is scheduled to make the start for Lincoln, while Mark Romanczuk will start for St. Paul.
