Nebraska native and Elkhorn grad Alice Schmidt made her first olympics, finishing second in the 800-meters at the U.S. Track and Field trials in Eugene Oregon.
Former Nebraska Cornhuskers didn’t fare too well. Kayla Wilkinson finished 7th in the Javelin. Distance runner Ann Gaffigan 4th in her semifinal of the 3,000 meter steeplechase, and Epley Bullock finished 7th in the high jump.
