New Sorrell Center opens on UNMC Campus

The Michael F. Sorrell Center for Health Science Education is now officially open on the University of Nebraska Medical Center Campus in Omaha.  The new center is located on the northeast corner of 42nd and Emile. It will house labs, amphitheaters, interaction rooms, conference space and much more.  The center was named after Michael Sorrell, world renowned liver disease and gastrointestinal disorders specialist.  Bill and Ruth Scott of Omaha were the primary donors for the center.  They are also contributing to an outdoor plaza that will feature an ice rink and green space for students.  Governor Dave Heineman attended the opening of the new building today.
