The Autism Center of Nebraska in Omaha and Health and Human Services are working together to solve the problems unveiled last week in a report by the state auditor’s office. HHS suspended the contract with the Center due to financial irregularities. It showed that thousands of dollars was spent on personal items including lunches and manicures to a furnace and deck for the operators home. The two agencies will take 30 days to review the issue and decide whether permanently terminate the contract or continue to work together. The Autism Center‘s directors, Randy and Rhonda Bojanski, have been terminated from their positions.
