A company from Denmark is setting up shop in Blair, Nebraska. Novozymes is based in Bagsvaerd, Denmark and they are building an approximately 100-million dollar plant south of Blair. The company makes enzymes that break down protein in corn starch to benefit ethanol production. Novozymes will break ground this year and the goal is to have the plant up and running by 2010. They will employ about 100 people. Novozymes currently employs more than 4,500 people worldwide and makes more than 700 different products.
