Despite high pump prices, Nebraskans hit the road

More than 37 million motorists are expected to hit the road this Memorial Day weekend. Triple-A Nebraska’s Rose White tells us that despite skyrocketing gas prices, there’s only a slight decrease in the number of those traveling by car. White says she expects gas prices in Nebraska to hit four bucks a gallon soon. Why are people traveling? White tells us that many people just want to get away from it all. The average price of fuel is 3.88 a gallon for regular unleaded. The price of gas is more than 60-cents-a-gallon higher than a year ago.
