The 5th ranked Husker baseball team rebounded from a 16 inning loss on Friday to sweep Big 12 leading Texas A&M in a doubleheader yesterday winning 9-8, by scoring five runs in the bottom of the 9th and then winning the nightcap 13-10.The UNO Maverick baseball team won the North Central Conference championship beating Minnesota State Mankato 17-0. The Mavs are the number two seed in the Central Regional. They’ll open up play in the NCAA tournament against Central Missouri.
The UN-Kearney Lopers won their 2nd RMAC title beating Mexico Highlands 15-4. The Lopers now head to the West Regional in Chico California as the 6th seed.
Bellevue beat Park twice on Saturday to win the NAIA Region IV baseball tournament. They will now advance to the Super Regional.
Concordia St. Paul beat Wayne State 10-6 in the Northern Sun conference title game in Wayne. The Wildcats will join UNO in the Central Regional at Emporia, Kansas at the third seed.
