Huskers roll out a 13 spot in win over Creighton

Nebraska scored 13 runs in the top of the fifth inning en route to a 16-7 win before a crowd of 9,044 at Rosenblatt Stadium over the Creighton Blue Jays.
“We wouldn’t let the inning die,” NU coach Mike Anderson said. “We just kept going.”
It marked the Huskers’ highest run total in an inning since they scored 13 on March 16, 1999, in the fifth inning of a 50-3 drubbing of Chicago State — still the highest single-game total in NCAA history.
Eighth-ranked NU (30-7-1) pounded a school-record 10 doubles in completing a midweek sweep of the Jays (25-15) and clinching the regular-season series in advance of their May 13 rematch at Rosenblatt. NU won 4-3 on Tuesday in Lincoln.
